Would it be possible to key bind the bottom right hand icons. Map, radio etc. It would be a great addition to help eliminate mouse clicks .

yes, that would be great. Just wanted to suggest this here, so I can now upvote it :)
Especially switching on and off the map with the mouse could be a pain during taxi :)
