Instead of auto-respond being on or off, perhaps it could be set to auto responding to certain ATC calls. This could be configured on the setup page. For example, auto respond only to frequency change requests from ATC. This way ATC would wait for learners to respond to a clearance, but wouldn’t ruin a flight just because they didn’t respond to a frequency change request (also helpful if AFK)
