If you hold down the PTT button while ATC/another aircraft is speaking, you’ll be met with the blocked transmission sound, even after the other side has stopped speaking. It means that if you hit just a second too early, you’ll have to let go and re-press the PTT button to speak. It would make more sense for it to stop the sound and allow pilot input immediately after ATC/the other pilot stops speaking.
