Hi team — quick feature request:
BATC’s auto‑select voice system works great for most major carriers, but it struggles with outliers like Malta Air, HiFly, SmartLynx, Wamos, EuroAtlantic, Titan, AirTanker, Avion Express, etc. These operators often use one ICAO code but have crews from completely different regions, so auto‑select can’t always pick the right accent.
Since BATC already includes global accents (Mediterranean, Eastern European, Middle Eastern, African, Asian), it would be extremely helpful to have a manual pilot voice override option, beyond the current subset of US, UK and Australian voices. Auto‑select could stay as the default, but users could manually choose a voice when flying ACMI or subsidiary airlines where the default accent isn’t accurate.
This would be a small UI addition with a big realism payoff — especially for Malta Air, where RYR forces Irish voices on 9H‑registered aircraft.
