i have a little proposal / request which i think will improve the installation process and data management.
During the installation, the elevation DEM files are always installed. The thing is, those files are used for other applications too and usually people (or at least me) have them in a own separate folder. In that regard, can these be installed as an optional component during the install? I guess that will require a setting within the application to choose a folder for them too. But I think it’s not a hard thing to implement also in the light of SSD lifespan would be VERY beneficial not to write 2GB of duplicate data on every update.
