While the Traffic Map works, it’s cumbersome to use when for example you are taxiing and another aircraft is coming directly at you, or you are attempting to pull into a gate and another plane is present. When this happens you open the Traffic Map, then proceed to zoom in and center to get to the one plane directly in front of you that you need to remove, and it is a several step process to drill down to that plane that needs removed. Instead, since we have the Taxi Map already in use, AND you immediately see the BLUE plane that needs removed in front of you, enabling the ability to remove that plane would be much quicker, more efficient. Of note, if you hover the mouse over that blue plane up pops what it is–right there if you could click on it to remove the plane that would be fabulous!
