The request is to ADD Active Sky as another weather source. So people can choose between the current weather source (internet, live) and Active Sky.
Historical weather is the main reason. It’s very easy to read the data from ActiveSky (it’s literally a .txt file) and feed it into BATC for runway assignments and ATIS.
FSHud, SayIntentions, P2ATC and SLC have already done it shortly after release. Time to catch up for BATC!

I really want this, as well. I’m probably not going to use it much until this is implemented.

Agreed! It is a big thing for me as well.

Yes, and it is easy to do. Historic weather is a great feature, one can fly in the conditions that correspond properly to the time of the day. Please, please add it!
It should be easy to improve and it’s a cool feature which will give a boost to an amazing potential application
yes, it is very simple read the data, please do it!
Yup agree this would be really nice.
Yes, please add!!
Since a few weeks, the bridge doesn’t work anymore. When I look at metars.cache.xml.gz, it contains the correct weather information, but when I listen to ATIS via BATC, it gives me the current real world weather, but combined with the correct sim time. That means, sim time plus real world weather information. BATC assigns the runways accordingly. I wonder what could be broken, and whether it’s BATC or the sim itself.
I would like to see ActiveSky used as an alternative data source.
100% I really need BATC weather to sync. with Active Sky.
You can’t imagine the impact that these non-responses to such simple things can have on your clients and users. Two years without the slightest response = More than 200 clients are not there to tell us what they need, we know better than them… whatever… but it’s a shame, really a shame when you have a gem in your hands. The only thing that stops me from taking premium, and that, it’s directly on your revenue…

100% I moved to ActiveSky because of it.

Hi all, apologies for no reply on this topic. BeyondATC has no plans to integrate directly with Active Sky, so I’ll be closing this thread. I understand this may be disappointing to hear but it’s simply not on the cards for us.
