Implement weather diversions with ATC giving Vectors to diversion airport, would also enable diversions due to passenger/aircraft emergecies. During certain seasons, some airports see more than average diversions due to weather.

Was about to make this suggestion myself. Years ago, I was on a United flight from Denver to O’Hare on a 767 that was going on to London later that evening. This was back when United let you listen in to ATC. We took off and shortly thereafter KORD shut down due to weather. All the way over ATC kept trying to reroute us to upper Michigan to which the pilot kept saying he didn’t have enough fuel. He needed to go into ORD. The controller finally told him to declare a fuel emergency if he had to into ORD, and he’d only get one shot. We made it without a problem but the banter between the cockpit and ATC about this was a lot of fun to listen to!

Diversions are effectively “new IFR clearance from any position to any airport” which means BATC needs to be able to generate its own IFR routes, so I can see why that’s a very substantial request. The upside is this would also allow you to pick up a new IFR clearance after going missed, which is a common way to chain together practice IFR approaches in GA. It would also allow pop-up IFR clearances (for flights that are VFR).
Since simbrief loads a flightplan to a alternate, maybe BATC can load this in on connection, and use it upon request from the player, rather than creating a new flight plan on the fly.
That would be an awesome feature
2024 SU5 has updated the weather system to (what it seems like), rain at different altitude levels. If this is so, it may now be possible BATC to perform altitude and course diversions easlier.
